Tara has been a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2009. After practicing in a conventional setting for five years, she looked for more tools when caring for patients, and that is where she found her passion and interest in Functional Medicine.
For a decade, she immersed herself in education within holistic health, and saw an entire world open in front of her. Tara’s clinical background has afforded her the breadth and depth of knowledge to work with clients at a deeper level. She believes that when you partner with each individual client, taking the time to understand the root cause, the options for healing and empowerment are incredible. Tara believes the patient/provider relationship is a powerful tool in the health journey and she enjoys developing meaningful connections with her patients.
Tara completed the Institute for Functional Medicine Program in 2022 to obtain formal training beyond what she already knew as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She currently practices and owns Serenity Integrative Health, a functional medicine practice in Bayport, MN that aims to treat the whole person, whole body.
