are you right for me?

How do I know if Fit PT is right for me?

If you’re looking for personalized care, real answers, and a plan designed around you and your goals, Fit PT may be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Many of our clients come to us after living with pain or frustrating symptoms, trying other treatments without lasting results, or simply knowing something doesn’t feel right. Others want to stay active, get stronger, and keep doing the things they love for years to come.

At Fit PT, your care is never one-size-fits-all. You’ll receive one-on-one care from a Doctor of Physical Therapy who takes the time to listen, understand how your whole body moves, and create a plan that fits your life.

Whether you want to recover from an injury, overcome persistent pain or pelvic floor symptoms, return to an activity you love, or simply feel stronger and more confident in your body, we’re here to help you move forward.

Is physical therapy what I need?

If you’re dealing with frequent aches and pains, pelvic floor concerns, lingering injuries, or movement that just doesn’t feel right, physical therapy may be a great place to start.

You don’t have to wait until your symptoms are “bad enough” or keep working around them. With over 25 years of combined experience, our providers help active individuals move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing the things they love.

Not sure if physical therapy is right for you? That’s okay. Our job is to help you understand what’s going on and determine the best next step. If we’re the right fit, we’ll create a personalized plan for you. If another healthcare provider or specialist would better serve your needs, we’ll tell you.

If you’re wondering whether we can help, reach out. We’re always happy to have a conversation and point you in the right direction.

I've tried physical therapy before & it didn't help. How is this different?

We’re sorry that was your experience, and we hear this more often than you might think. Not every physical therapy experience is the same.

At Fit PT, every visit is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who takes the time to listen, understand how your whole body is moving, and personalize your care to your goals. You won’t be passed between providers or spend part of your appointment with an aide or assistant.

Our longer appointments allow time for hands-on treatment, intentional exercise, education, and adjustments as you progress. Every part of your visit has a purpose.

Our goal isn’t just to help you feel better. It’s to help you understand your body, move with confidence, and build lasting results that continue long after your care is complete. Each of our physical therapists on our team left a traditional, in network physical therapy practice for a reason. They believe that the best kind of healthcare comes from a customized, wellness based approach that focuses on addressing root causes and prioritizing full body function.

Do I need to have an injury or diagnosis?

Not at all. In fact, many of our clients come to us before they have a diagnosis, and some aren't dealing with an injury at all.

Maybe you've noticed that your body doesn't feel quite the way it used to. You're feeling stiff when you wake up, your workouts don't feel as strong, you're leaking when you run or sneeze, you're avoiding certain activities because they leave you sore, or you're simply wondering if what you're experiencing is normal. Those are all great reasons to work with us!

At Fit PT, we believe physical therapy isn't just about recovering from injury. It's about helping you move well, feel strong, and stay active throughout every season of life.

You don't need a diagnosis to benefit from expert guidance. You don't have to wait until the pain becomes unbearable or your symptoms interfere with your daily life. Sometimes the best time to address a problem is before it becomes a bigger one.

If something doesn't feel quite right, or you're simply curious about how your body could move and perform better, we'd love to help you understand what's going on and create a plan that's right for you.

Who may not be the right fit for Fit PT?

Fit PT may not be the right fit for everyone, and that’s okay. We believe the best results happen when your goals and expectations align with the way we provide care.

We may not be the best fit if you’re looking for a quick fix, prefer to be a passive participant in your care, or want a traditional high-volume physical therapy experience. At Fit PT, healing is a team effort. We bring our expertise, guidance, and support, and we ask you to bring your commitment, curiosity, and willingness to actively participate in the process.

Our clients tend to show up with intention. They want to understand their bodies, put what they learn into practice, and take an active role in creating lasting change. Our job isn’t simply to treat you during your appointment. It’s to give you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to keep making progress outside our clinic, too.

There may also be times when your needs fall outside our scope of practice. If another provider or specialist would better serve you, we’ll be honest and help point you in the right direction.

Not sure where you fall? Book a Free 15-Minute Screen with one of our physical therapists to discuss your specific questions, concerns and goals. We’re happy to listen and help you determine the best next step, even if that next step isn’t with us.

Do you only treat women?

Not at all! While women’s health is one of our specialties and a big part of who we are, it’s certainly not all we do. We’re passionate about helping women through every stage of life, from motherhood to menopause and beyond, feel strong, confident, and at home in their bodies.

We also welcome men and teens ages 12 and older for orthopedic pain, sports and fitness-related injuries, movement concerns, and performance goals.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, training for your next challenge, getting back to an activity you love, or simply wanting to move and feel better, our personalized approach is designed to help you get there.

Do I need a referral to get started?

No you do not need a referral to work with us - in Wisconsin and Minnesota, you can see a physical therapist directly without a physician referral. This allows you to start care sooner and get the support you need without unnecessary delays. If you have questions about your specific situation, contact our office and we would be happy to help.

There may be special circumstances where an insurance company may require a physicians referral to submit superbills for out of network coverage. Please communicate with your specific insurance provider for more information regarding requirements for out of network care.

Where are you located?

pricing, packaging & insurance

Do you accept my insurance?

Fit PT is an out-of-network physical therapy practice, which means we do not bill insurance directly. Instead, payment is made at the time of your visit. This model allows us to provide personalized, high-quality care without insurance restrictions. You’ll receive one-on-one time with your physical therapist, individualized treatment plans, and care focused on your goals and what will help you get the best results.

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement. We’re happy to provide a detailed receipt after each appointment, called a superbill, that you can submit to your insurance company. Because every plan is different, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to understand your specific benefits.

We accept major credit and debit cards, cash, checks, and HSA/FSA cards.

Still have questions? Schedule a free Discovery Call with our office team. We’ll walk you through your options and help you decide if Fit PT is the right fit for you. There’s no pressure or obligation, just a conversation to help you find the best next step.

What is the investment?

We believe investing in your health and wellness is one of the most valuable investments you can make for yourself and your family. We also understand that paying for healthcare out of pocket can come with questions, and we want the process to feel simple and transparent.

At Fit PT, we provide personalized, high-quality care with flexible appointment and payment options designed around your needs. Our services are typically about one-third of the cost of traditional in-network physical therapy care, making this a valuable option for those with high-deductible plans, limited physical therapy coverage, or anyone looking for a more personalized care experience.

Have questions about pricing? Schedule a free Discovery Call with our office team to discuss your goals and payment options, or call us at (715) 513-6313. There’s no pressure or obligation, just a conversation to help you find the best next step.

appointments

What can I expect at my first visit?

Every new patient starts with a 90 Minute Initial Evaluation with one of our physical therapists. We love these evaluations because we get to take time to listen to your story, perform a full-body assessment, and set intentional goals together to help you kickstart your healing.

During your first appointment, we will:
  • Discuss your health history, symptoms, and goals
  • Complete a comprehensive movement and strength assessment
  • Identify areas contributing to your pain or limitations
  • Offer hands-on treatment and individualized exercises
  • Create a personalized plan to help you reach your goals

You will leave with a better understanding of your body and clear next steps for moving forward.

How long are appointments?

Because every person and every condition is different, we offer a variety of appointment lengths to best support your goals and recovery. Rather than fitting everyone into the same schedule, we'll recommend the visit length that's right for you.

Every new client begins with a 90-minute evaluation. This gives your physical therapist the time to listen to your story, perform a thorough assessment, answer your questions, and create a personalized plan of care.

After your evaluation, your therapist will recommend the appointment length that best fits your needs, goals, and lifestyle. We offer several follow-up visit options ranging from shorter maintenance appointments to longer sessions when additional time is beneficial.

Our 60-minute Signature Session is our most popular follow-up appointment and where many clients begin their care. As your symptoms improve and your goals evolve, your treatment plan can be adjusted along the way—because no two people heal exactly the same.

What if I need to change an appointment?

Life happens—we completely understand! If you need to reschedule your appointment, you can do so through our online booking app or by calling or texting our office. If you need to cancel your appointment, simply give us a call at (715) 513-6313, and we'll be happy to help.

Because every appointment is reserved exclusively for you with your physical therapist, we ask for at least 48 hours' notice for any appointment changes. This allows us the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another client who may be waiting to be seen.

For Monday appointments, any changes must be made by 12:00 PM on the Friday before.

Appointments changed with less than 48 hours' notice are subject to a 50% late cancellation fee, while missed appointments without notice will be charged the full appointment fee. We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can happen. If something comes up, please contact us as soon as possible. We're always happy to have a conversation and will review unforeseen circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

Can I bring my child to an appointment?

You’re absolutely welcome to bring your children to Fit PT—especially if it helps you navigate childcare and still prioritize the care you need.

Because our studio contains specialized equipment and active treatment areas, safety is our top priority. We ask that children remain with you at all times and do not use or play on any of the gym or treatment equipment. Please make sure you bring items to keep them safely engaged and occupied during your session. Parents are responsible for supervising and caring for their children throughout the session to help ensure a safe environment for everyone in the studio.

Thank you in advance for helping us keep the space safe and comfortable for all clients and staff.

Do you offer virtual care?

Yes we do! Although many of our patients seek care in person, we really love the flexibility of providing virtual care when it makes sense. This can be a great option for busy moms with young kids, squeezing appointments in between busy work meetings, when poor weather issues arise, or simply for those that live far from our clinic location.

Due to licensure, we offer virtual care to Minnesota and Wisconsin residents.

"I cannot recommend Fit PT enough. Finding a compassionate and highly skilled women's health provider felt very intimidating - but from my very first physical therapy session, I felt at ease and felt heard. If you're looking for dedicated, knowledgeable and empathetic care, this is your place!"
